Fall Camp-Out: September 27-29 @ Gladys Wernette Classroom Building – with big, huge open-ended play at Kids Hill!
Any and all are welcome – no fees, just fun!
The gate will be unlocked by 7pm at the Gladys Wernette Building entrance. Set up camp around the Classroom Building / Cabin. Bathroom facilities will be available in the classroom building. On Saturday, around 1pm, Bruce Bauman will be showcasing music – his students will be jamming out for all of us! He’ll also have instruments available for those who’d like to try.
We’ll potluck around 5:30pm on Saturday night and meat / dessert will be provided by Wheatscouts – salad, etc. could be provided by everyone else. All other meals should be covered by you, unless you want to potluck across the board – its up to you.
A little challenge: open-ended play! Prizes will be awarded at 5pm on Saturday for the most creative use of nature – sand sculptures, mosaics, water troughs, rock piles – you name it. Kids are welcome to create wherever and then we’ll walk to see each creation and award prizes to all participants.
Most families leave after breakfast on Sunday. Looking forward to time in the Wernette Woods!
Wheatscouts is a family gathering where children and parents sing, play music, dance, make crafts, listen to stories, and enjoy each other and nature – its free and open to the public. Its at the Gladys Wernette Classroom Building on the Wheatland Music Organization grounds, located at 7251 50th Avenue (2 miles west and 2 miles south of the M-66 and M-20 intersection in Remus, MI).
