Wheatland Music Organization is pleased to announce we have been awarded two grants from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA).
We have been awarded $18,000 for an Operational Support grant, which will help us meet our mission of serving as a regional resource center for the preservation and presentation of traditional music and arts.
In addition, we have received a $8,703 Capital Improvement grant to help make the construction of a Song Stage possible.
A portion of the awards were made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
This funding will strengthen the overall organization by helping 300+ artists share their creative expression and toward administrative and other costs necessary to enrich lives with quality traditional arts programs during 2021.
Wheatland offers a wealth of arts experiences and it’s success reflects the work done by 2 paid staff, 13 board members, 1000+ volunteers and hundreds of donors and members.
