Traditional Dances

Traditional Dances are held in the Gladys Wernette Building at Wheatland.
Check below or on our Events Schedule for specific dance dates and other upcoming events.

These dances feature live old-time traditional music provided by local musicians and callers, in the style of Contra, Squares, Reels, and Cajun!  So come and kick up your heels; it’s dancin’ time at Wheatland!

All dances are open to the public, all dances are taught and no partner or experience is needed.  Admission is $5 at the door and those under 18 get in free.  Dances are usually the 4th Saturday of the month (Oct.-Apr.), see schedule for details.

To be added to the Traditional Dance monthly email list, please contact the office at wmo.office@wheatlandmusic.org or call 989-967-8879.
