Wheatland Awarded $40k Grant from Michigan Economic Development Corporation

Wheatland Music is pleased to be among the 101 recipients of a grant from the Michigan Stages Survival Grant Program administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

The $40,000 grant will allow employees/staff to plan and prepare for reinstatement of in-person programs. Having the cost of payroll, utilities, and PPE covered by this grant allows Wheatland Music to allocate its fund reserves towards the cost of programming. This is a win/win for Wheatland Music and our local economy.

Arts programming is important in the continued efforts of a return to some sort of normal. Wheatland Music will continue with virtual programming and continue planning for in-person events within the state guidelines.
