Round Creek String Band (roundcreekstringband.com) was formed in 2021 by founding members, Caleb Hofheinz (fiddle), Sam Herman (banjo), Tom Sutherland (bass), Erik White (guitar), and Jason Wheeler (mandolin). Firmly rooted in Midwestern old-time stylings, the band performs a variety of traditional music throughout Michigan at festivals, performing arts centers, square/contra dances, music camps, venues, and private events. RCSB's unique approach to traditional music is bringing old music to today's audience in a fresh and playful style. To push the boundaries and equally honor the traditions created through the passage of fiddle tunes is a life-long pursuit and a driving force of RCSB. The band is set to release their debut, self-titled album in fall 2023.
