2016 Photo Contest Submissions Due April 15

While we continue to be awed by the photographic talents of Peggy Brisbane, whose photos you see each year in the festival program book, we realize that she can’t make it into the middle of every jam session or out to the far reaches of the campgrounds.  Therefore, we are counting on using photographs taken by the rest of you Wheatland shutterbugs at past festivals in the pages of the spring newsletter.

10 PHOTO LIMIT

For digital photos:

  1. Select copies of your favorite black and white or high contrast color photos.
  2. Indicate what is going on in the photo and when and where it was taken.
  3. Include your name, address and phone number.
  4. Type FESTIVAL PHOTO CONTEST in the subject line.
  5. Attach in an e-mail and send to wmo.office@wheatlandmusic.org.
  6. Photos submitted must be received by April 15, 2016.

For developed and printed photos:

  1. Select copies of your favorite black and white or high contrast color photos.
  2. Indicate on the back of each photo (or attach a sticky note to the back) what is going on in the photo and when and where it was taken.
  3. Include your name, address and phone number.
  4. Send them to FESTIVAL PHOTO CONTEST, c/o WMO, PO Box 22, Remus, MI 49340.
  5. Please send duplicates, as photos submitted will not be returned.
  6. Photos submitted must be received by April 15, 2016.

All of the photos we receive will be evaluated by a panel of judges (or the Wheatland Board of Directors), who will vote for their favorites.

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

  • 1st Place two (2) tickets to the 2016 Wheatland Music Festival plus $24.00 in food coupons
  • 2nd Place two (2) 2016 Festival Tickets
  • 3rd Place one (1) 2016 Festival Ticket plus one (1) 2016 festival t-shirt
  • 4th Place one (1) 2016 Festival Ticket
  • 5th Place one (1) 2016 Festival t-shirt plus $12.00 in food coupons.

Note that we accept photo contest submissions year ’round.  If it’s easier for you to remember to send copies of your festival photos to us as soon as you get them developed, that would be fine.  We’ll just hang onto them until we need them.  We look forward to seeing your photos!  We also reserve the right to use the photos submitted to the photo contest for future use in our program book, newsletters and web site.
