WMO/CMU Festival Recording Project

The long-awaited Enhanced CD, "At This Stage: 30 Years of Wheatland", is now available for purchase!

This disc contains thirteen songs by artists that have graced the Wheatland stage over the last thirty years. Apearing on this disc are: Dewey Balfa, Blue Highway, The Chicken Chokers, Guy Davis, The Dixie Hummingbirds, Johnny Gimble and Texas Swing, The Lost World String Band, The Mammals, Tim and Mollie O'Brien with Jerry Douglas, and Robin & Linda Williams and Their Fine Group. But that's not all! A bonus track at the end of the disc paints an audio portrait of a walk around the Wheatland grounds late on Saturday night. And since this is an Enhanced CD, putting it in your computer's CD drive will allow you to access listings of peformers from the first 30 years (with links to as many of their websites as we could find!) and pictures of the festival that can be used for screen savers or computer desktops.

"At This Stage" is a joint production of the Wheatland Music Organization, CMU Public Radio, and White Pine Music. WPM is a new record label from the Central Michigan University School of Music, dedicated to preserving and promoting the artistic and scholary heritage of Michigan. Proceeds from the sale of this recording go first to support the artists and songwriters, and also to Wheatland, CMU public Radio, and White Pine Music, who are all dedicated to keeping traditional music ALIVE!

"At This Stage" is available through CMU Public Radio at www.wcmu.org or by calling 1-800-727-9268. The cost is $21.08 which includes shipping and sales tax.
