Mark Boughner
Mark is a very familiar face around Wheatland.  Not only is he a great musician and instructor, but also helps out in the Medical Area.  He is also a member of the local musical group known as Hurry The Jug.  You will enjoy his Bodhran class.
Steve Craig

Another very talented musician, Steve can be found playing, teaching or selling items in the vendor area.  Steve comes to us from Missouri and does a great job teaching Claw Hammer Banjo.  Don't miss his early workshop.
Patrick DeWitt
Patrick is another member of the Hurry The Jug group and plays various musical instruments.  Join him and some of his group while he teaches and plays the Penny Whistle.  All may attend.  Some whistles provided, but limited.
Jack Freeman

Jack is a long time member of the Wheatland staff.  Jack is also another multi-talented performer.  He can be found playing at some of the jams as well as his workshop.  You will not be sorry if you attend his Cajun Fiddle workshop.
Dave Leonard

Dave is a well known face around the Wheatland campus.  He is known for his home made instruments and unique style and sound.  Many know him as the Hurdy Gurdy Man.  Stop by and join him as he gives a demonstration on the hurdy gurdy.
Bruce Ling

Ron Fowler

Ron is new to our Folk Tents, but certainly not new to Wheatland.  He has been attending since he was four years old; sharing his folk songs and stories, and now joining us as a Ukulele Instructor.  You are sure to enjoy his style as he teaches Uke, made easy to learn.
Glynn Russell

Glynn is a long time attendee and mandolin workshop instructor.  He will give you an introduction to the Mandolin as he and Susie make the class fun as well as informative.  Plus offers a simple and fast way of learning to play the Mandolin.
Dave Leonard

Dave will be teaching his style of the Claw Hammer Banjo, beginner to accomplished.
Mike Ross

Another new comer to the Folk Tents as he instructs and shares the Harmonica, as he has for many years, with a hint of the Blues and Folk styles.  The key of C will be used.  Mike will address each student's skill level.
Donald Benson

The Ukulele is very popular and an excellent starter instrument even for those who know nothing about music, but would like to learn to play a stringed instrument.  Don will teach you how to tune, strum and hold your Uke while you learn basic chords.  A chord and song booklet is provided as part of the class.  Uke's will be available for use in the class if needed.
Jo McLachlan

Jo teaches the beginner Mountain Dulcimer as has for many years.  In this class she now takes us a step further in our learning with this Intermediate and More Mountain Dulcimer class.  Please join her and her helper.
The Schrock Bros

Andrew, Jasen and their father Mark focus on original music, combining three part harmonies with soulful lead vocals.  Longtime members of the Wheatland musical 'family', Mark has appeared at the festival since 1970 with Cabbage Crik, Iowa Rose and Jive At Five.  Jasen brought the house down with his Chicago base Blues Swingers in 2000 & 2001, while Andrew has brought his band Deep Blue Underground to the Middle Ground.  They have been a fixture at the Sunday morning gospel as long as they can remember.
