Dances and Jamborees

Jamborees

Jamborees are held on the second Saturday of the month (except September) in the Cabin on the Wheatland Music site near Remus, MI, beginning at 2 PM. This informal gathering is free of charge and open to the public. Musicians of all levels are welcomed. Please note that this is for acoustic music only.

Traditional Dancing

These dances will feature live old-time traditional acoustic music provided by local musicians and callers. Dances will begin at 7:30 PM in the Gladys Wernette building on the Wheatland Music site near Remus, MI, and are open to the public. All dances are taught and beginners are welcome. No partner is required. $6 per person at the door.

ADDITIONAL DANCES:
Two dances are being added to the schedule to give new local callers working experience.  All are welcome for contra dancing with a couple square dances added in.  Donation at the door if a band plays.  Instruction starting at 7:00 PM.
